About Us

The primary purpose of the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is to enhance the quality of health care available to the citizens of Chatham-Kent by raising funds and providing other resources to support Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. It accomplishes this through annual campaigns, capital and endowment campaigns, memorial giving, special events and planned giving. The Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is governed by a Board which consists of 12 volunteer directors.

Since it’s inception in 1998, The Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has lead activities formerly carried out by the Foundation of Public General Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Sydenham District Hospital. The generous support of these three Foundations was instrumental in helping the Foundation achieve the goal in its first capital campaign, “Your Health, Your Future” which successfully raised $20 million towards the renovation and construction directed by the Health Services Restructuring Committee. The Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has since successfully raised $1.2 million towards “The Future’s In Sight” Ophthalmology campaign where $700,000 was raised to create a centre of excellence for vision care.
