On January 25, 2017, Comfort Inn representatives presented the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) with a cheque for $695. This generous donation was made possible through the Chatham Comfort Inn “Alliance Care” program that provides discounted accommodation rates to those visiting friends or loved ones at CKHA. A portion of each room rate is donated to the Foundation of CKHA. Since 2001, more than $2491 has been donated to the Foundation through the “Alliance Care” program.
The “Alliance Care” rate is one of two special Comfort Inn programs benefiting visitors to CKHA.
Over the past 20 years the Chatham Comfort Inn located at 1100 Richmond Street has also offered the “Room at the Inn” program in the spirit of the holiday season. “Room at the Inn” provides complimentary accommodations to those from outside of the immediate Municipality of Chatham-Kent who are visiting friends or loved ones at CKHA over the Christmas holidays.
“Having a family member or friend who is ill can be difficult,” said Candice Jeffrey, Development Lead, Foundation of CKHA. “The Comfort Inn is just a short drive away from CKHA and it can give peace of mind to patients’ families or caregivers who could use a good night’s sleep. We are grateful for both programs.”
President & CEO (Interim) Ken Deane and Hospital Supervisor Rob Devitt presented a plaque to representatives from Comfort Inn to express CKHA’s gratitude for the ongoing partnership.
About the “Alliance Care” Program
The “Alliance Care” program was launched in 2001 as a service to friends and families visiting loved ones receiving care at CKHA. Reservations are made directly with the Chatham Comfort Inn by the visitor, and they must ask for Alliance Care Rate when booking. Hospital confirmation must be provided upon check-in.
About the “Room At The Inn” Program
Offered for more then 20 years, the “Room at the Inn” program provides complimentary rooms to those visiting CKHA through the holidays. Reservations must be made directly with the Admitting Department and the Comfort Inn asks that people verify they are visiting a CKHA patient. People using the holiday program can be a family member, friend or caregiver.
