FOUNDATION OF CHATHAM-KENT HEALTH ALLIANCE APPRECIATES OUR DOCTORS!
The Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, along with some outstanding individual and corporate sponsors, will show a token of appreciation to our Doctors on Wednesday, September 21st, 2005 when the Fourth Annual “Doctor Appreciation Day” will be held at Deer Run Golf Course. It will feature an opportunity for golf, spa services, and an evening reception and dinner honouring our practicing and retired physicians in the local medical society.
Co-Chairs Dr. Cassie Harnarine and Dr. Don Patterson, work in concert with a group of volunteer committee members to organize a day of fun and fellowship. Our community is well aware of the shortage of physicians and there are many initiatives underway to recruit new doctors. But it is important to recognize and show appreciation to those outstanding, dedicated doctors who are with us now, performing above and beyond to meet our health care needs.
During the evening festivities, the Kent County Medical Society will pay tribute to three retiring physicians; Dr. R. Patel, Dr. W. Kao, and Dr. D. Evans. New to the program this year, the Sunrise Rotary Club will present a cheque in the amount of $5000 to the local medical community as part of the proceeds from the Roses For Rotary Campaign held earlier this year. These funds will be directed to the Continuing Medical Education Fund for Physicians.
Michele Grzebien, Executive Director of the Foundation says “This first class event continues to grow in scope each year, and we are proud to have a benefactor who believes in the importance of appreciating and thanking our doctors who work tirelessly providing quality care to their patients.”
Sponsors and donors to this event underwrite the costs of this entire day.
