CHATHAM, ON (Wednesday, August 17, 2016): On Friday, August 12, 2016, the Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) hosted its 11th Annual Pro/Am Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament saw over 120 golfers and 30 club professionals from across Southwestern Ontario enjoy a day of golf at Maple City Country Club in support of the Foundation of CKHA’s $6.9 million CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign. Early estimates are indicating that more than $43,000 was raised last Friday.
As one of the Foundation of CKHA’s signature events, the 11th Annual Pro/Am, held at Maple City Country Club, featured 18 holes of golf, games of skill, an elegant cocktail reception and a fabulous dinner with a silent auction featuring two WestJet tickets for flights anywhere in Canada, Beer for a Year from Cameron’s Brewery, a Retro Suites Hotel Package and a Caesar’s Windsor Package, among several others.
“Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, donors, supporters and staff, our 11th Annual Pro/Am Golf Tournament was once again a tremendous success, raising much needed funds for the CKHA DI Equipment Renewal Campaign,” says Michele Grzebien-Huckson, Executive Director, Foundation of CKHA. “Your generosity has helped to bring us one step closer to bringing new state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment to our local hospitals – and for that, we are very grateful.”

About the CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign
As part of the Foundation of CKHA’s directive to raise funds to support CKHA’s Highest Priority Needs, the $6.9 million CKHA Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign was launched in late 2014 to support CKHA in the purchase of new equipment for the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
This new diagnostic imaging equipment will serve almost every program offered at CKHA and is key for diagnoses in a multitude of cases, including heart, stroke, cancer, orthopedics, rehabilitation, obstetrics and gynecology.
To date, more than $4 million has been raised for this important campaign.
